Shanghai: the art of unpacking

It’s not often you step out of the shower smelling of sweet cocoa and carmelised orange – but then again its not every day that you step off the red-eye from Europe and stumble bleary eyed to a shell of an apartment with just enough time to chaperone members of the moving company tag team for 3 hours as they oof, urg and gnnnn their way through a households worth of unpacking. There’s something about seeing boxes from two continents ago saunter by.

After three months on the road, home at last. A bit of sleep would be good at this point. Up for the Shanghai studio in a few hours.

And the smells? A by-product of towels carried in the same luggage as a few kilo of class AAA amphetamine.
