Where’s The Phone? A Global Study on Carrying Behaviours

Co-authored with Cui Yanqing and Fumiko Ichikawa. Selected data and photos from Where’s the Phone studies: 1549 participants in 11 street surveys on 4 continents to understand where and why people carry their mobile phones, the extent to which they notice incoming communication, and the degree to which people engage in physical device personalisation. Data taken from studies in: Tehran, New York, Los Angeles, Delhi, Seoul, Tokyo, Beijing, Ji Lin City, Kampala, Milan and Helsinki.
