Everyone who leaves Shanghai Pudong has their ticket swiped by one of these machines as they pass through the security checkpoint – once your flight details come up on screen you are able to pass through the metal detector, and if you’re really lucky, be fondled by the latex gloved hands of a security assistant. The computer game font humour is evident, but it’s this that makes me smile.
