On the last night of a field study in Ahmedabad time spent taking in the city – ventured into this traditional movie theatre to catch the late night showing of a Bollywood movie. We we’re eventually thrown out – might have helped if we’d bought tickets, heh. But we did manage to sit through the old-skool advertising – slides projected onto the big screen, for this ad-over-exposed foreigner almost embarrassing in their uncomplicated innocence; but all with an emotional pull that is difficult to replicate.
