Most people equate Tokyo with dense-urban – something the city does exceedingly well, but Tokyoites will appreciate how the city opens up in pleasant and peculiar ways. One of the more enjoyable space for young kids is the Setagaya Park adventure playground – a space designed to kids easy access to fires, knives, mud, and kids-only structures all under the loosely watchful eye of laid back parents. All roofs are made for sitting on.
It’s odd I know, but this is the bit of Tokyo I want my (now two year old) daughter to experience.
