Tolerance

Camden: East Coast Line

At what point did it become the norm in air travel that displays cannot be switched off – at least for some of this JetBlue flight? The lack of resistance to this invasive technology is mostly because it is showing premium DirectTV content for free – a stark contrast to this other extreme – Touchmedia displays found in cities around China.

One of the questions with technologies such as projecting directly onto the retina is user/consumer tolerance to being always-on – a significant issue given that for many the device & content will come for ‘free’, advertising supported.

JetBlue is conditioning a micro-generation of flyers.
