The title uberrima fides refers to the legal doctrine covering insurance contracts – where all parties must enter into the contract making a full declaration of the material facts – in “utmost good faith”, in contrast with the legal doctrine of caveat emptor – let the buyer beware. What are our obligations as designers, developers, service designers as more of what is designed is embedded, integrated, passively consumed?
